I am Andrei. I am 8 years old and I am a second grader in School no.8 „Grigore Moisil” from Ploiesti, Romania. I love sports. I used to do karate, but recently I started playing basketball. I love being part of a team and I get along very well with my teammates. Recently, though, I haven’t been able to run anymore. I miss playing with my team.

In my free time I like watching cartoons and playing computer games. When I grow up I want to be a robotician, who is a man that creates robots. I promise that I will only make good robots who will save people from dangerous situations.

Just like my robots will help people, please help me get better and be able to run again.

My name is Mihaela Duca and I am Andrei’s mother.

Andrei is 8 years and a half and was diagnosed with „Tumoral mass on the 4th ventricle (medulloblastoma) with secondary cerebral and vertebral leptomeningeal determinations. It’s a long term for several brain and spinal tumors.

Andrei is just a usual child with big eyes. He’s optimistic, funny and always happy. Like every boy his age, he loves to play and run around. He makes me happy every single day.

I am not demanding. I am pleased by small, everyday things. I have the aspirations of a regular person and I used to laugh out loud everyday. It was my own persoanl therapy against the world around me. I used to only ask God for my personal suits, but now, even though I’ve never asked anyone for anything before, I’m asking for help from EVERYONE that can make a difference.

Andrei wants to walk again. He promised that he will try by himself and he will succeed till March.  He is convinced that, if he tries hard enough he will succeed and he will be healthy again. I told him thta, this time, he will need the help of his guradian angels.
